Call to Order Chair Acevedo called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m. Present 11 - Commissioner Aliyah Acevedo, Commissioner Cobe Koonce, Commissioner Desiree Kennison, Commissioner Megan Pham, Commissioner Olivia Cordero, Commissioner Paia Martinez, Commissioner Travis Watkins, Council Member Craig Kim, Commissioner Manuel Guardiola-Rodriguez, Commissioner Alejandra Guardiola, and Commissioner Adam Day Absent 7 - Commissioner Christina Wickersheim, Commissioner Keegan Jones, Council Member Kristi Douglas, Commissioner Michael Kelley, Commissioner Elizabeth Martinez-Atayde, Commissioner Serrianna Safieh, and Commissioner Eduardo Quintana 2. Guest Speaker #1: Police Department Explorer Program Mike Vasquez spoke on the explorer program in the Police Department. 3. Guest Speaker #2: PRG Master Plan Representatives from Parks, Recreation and Golf discussed the PRG Master Plan with the Youth Commission. 4. Approval of Minutes Min 23-219 Minutes of August 17, 2023 Meeting Commissioner Cordero made a motion to approve the minutes of the August 17, 2023 meeting. Commissioner Kennison seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. Members of the public were invited to provide public comment. Representatives from the Adams 14 Empowerment Project shared more about the program and resources. 5. New Business The Boards and Commission Celebration was discussed. Old Business: A. 2023 - 2024 Goal Review and Approval Commissioner Cordero made a motion to approve the 2023-2024 goals. Commissioner Koonce seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 7.
