Call To Order/Roll Call - 6:30 PM Call to order: Chair Acevedo called the meeting to order at 6:34 p.m. Present 13 - Commissioner Aliyah Acevedo, Commissioner Desirree Kennison, Commissioner Megan Pham, Commissioner Travis Watkins, Commissioner Elizabeth Martinez-Atayde, Commissioner Serrianna Safieh, Commissioner Eduardo Quintana, Commissioner Adam Day, Commissioner April Acevedo, Commissioner Christopher Suazo, Commissioner Olivia Cordero, Commissioner Alejandra Guardiola, Commissioner Anna Saia Absent 6 - Commissioner Christina Wickersheim, Commissioner Cobe Koonce, Commissioner Paia Martinez, Commissioner Manuel Guardiola-Rodriguez, Council member Kim, Council member Douglas Guest - Ivonne Olivas from Cultivando 2. Public Comment None 3. Guest Speaker - Stephanie Evans Stephanie Evans gave a presentation on her job as a professional hacker. 4. Approval of Minutes Commissioner Kennison made a motion to approve the minutes of February 1, 2024. Commissioner Cordero seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. Update contact information B. Vote on KSA Conference date C. Vote on KSA Conference location D. KSA Conference Workshop activity A. Youth Commissioners updated their contact information. B. Commissioner Safieh made a motion to approve the date for the KSA Conference on Friday, October, 18th, 2024. Commissioner Kennison seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. C. Commissioner Martinez-Atayde made a motion to approve the location for the KSA Conference at Bison Ridge Rec Center. Commissioner Quintana seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. D. Commissioners participated in a activity to narrow down workshop topics for the KSA conference. 6. New Business A. Earth Day: April 20, 2024 at Rocky Mountain Arsenal - Volunteers - Craft B. Fall Fest: October 5, 2024 at Eagle Pointe Recreation Center - Select a theme • Hocus Pocus • Haunted Mansion • Nightmare Before Elm Street A. The Earth Day date was shared with the group. Commissioner Suazo made a motion to approve $700 of the Youth Commission budget to be spent on sponsoring Earth Day crafts. Commissioner Kennison seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. B. Commissioners voted on a theme for the upcoming Fall Fest trick or treat street. They settled on a Haunted Mansion theme. 7. Other Business/Updates None 8.
