The Parks and Recreation Board of the City of Coppell, Texas, met in the 2nd Floor
Conference Room at 255 E. Parkway Boulevard.
The purpose of this meeting was to consider the following items:
Regular Session (Open to the Public)
1. Call To Order
Chair Guignon alled the meeting order at 6:31 pm.

2. Citizens' Forum: Citizens should complete a Citizens Appearance Form. Pursuant to
the State Open Meetings Law, the Board is restricted in discussing or taking action on
items not posted on the Agenda. Action on your statements can only be taken at future
meetings.
Fadi Hurtubise, 11125 Stonegate Dr., informed the board of a Cricket event
being held by the City of Irving and Irving YMCA.

A motion was made by Boardmember Reynolds, seconded by Boardmember
Rohe, that this Agenda Item be Approved The motion carried by an
unanimous vote.
4. Update regarding current projects
John Elias, Special Projects Manager, gave an update on current park projects.
5. Discussion regarding the 2019 - 2020 CRDC Work Program posting
Director Brad Reid, informed the Board of the 2019-2020 CRDC Work Program.
A public hearing will be held for 2019-2020 CRDC Work Program for the
purpose of gathering citizen input in regards to the projects.
6. Director's Report
- Gold Medal Award
- Special Events
- September Meeting Date
- Gold Medal, the Parks and Rec Department has been named a finalist for the
Gold Medal Award.
- Special Events, The Arts Center will hold a topping out event on Saturday,
August 10. Music Series is coming up in September and Kalidoscope in
October.
- September Meeting, the Board will meet on September 9 due to the Labor
Day holiday.
7. Youth Advisor's Report
Youth Advisor Jonathan Henley suggested having a friend bench at the parks
for children looking for a friend to play with. Youth Advisor Priya Marella
suggested having a park clean up day at Andrew Brown East and Kid Country.

Notice is hereby given that the Parks and Recreation Board of the City of Coppell, Texas, will
meet in the 2nd Floor Conference Room at 255 E. Parkway Boulevard.
As authorized by Section 551.071(2) of the Texas Government Code, this meeting may be
convened into closed Executive Session for the purpose of seeking confidential legal advice
from the City Attorney on any agenda item listed herein.
