Parkway Boulevard. As authorized by Section 551.127, of the Texas Government Code, one or more appointed board member or employees may attend this meeting remotely using videoconferencing technology. The purpose of this meeting was to consider the following items: Regular Session (Open to the Public) 1. Call To Order Chair Paschal called the meeting to order at 6:32 pm. Members present: Nick Paschal, Maureen Corcoran, Margaret Bryan, Mary Arnold, Zainab Tinwala, Jeff Roller (Virtual), Edward Rose, Mike Ridgley, Enaika Kishnami, Hannah Greenberg Staff present: Jessica Carpenter, Sheri Belmont, Adam Richter, Cecilia Gandara, David Elison 2. Citizens' Appearance Chair Paschal advised that no one signed up to speak. City of Coppell, Texas Page 1 Parks and Recreation Board Minutes November 6, 2023 This agenda item provides an opportunity for citizens to address the Board or Commission on any matter. Anyone wishing to address the Board or Commission should register prior to the start of the meeting. There is a two (2) minute time limit for each citizen to speak, additional time may be granted by the Board or Commission. The Board or Commission is not permitted to take action on any subject raised by a speaker during Citizens' Appearance. 3. Consider approval of minutes: October 2, 2023 A motion was made by Boardmember Corcoran, seconded by Boardmember Arnold, that this agenda item be approved. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. 4. Annual update by the Coppell Girls Softball Association President of the Coppell Girls Softball Association, gave an update in regards to current registration numbers and activities. 5. Presentation and discussion relating to a request to designate a Coppell bird Amir Tinwala gave a presentation in regards to assigning the Kestrel as the Coppell bird. The Board asked Mr. Tinwala to bring a sample of the bird boxes he is planning on building. 6. Manager’s Update – Lauren Rodriguez, CORE Manager Lauren Rodriguez along with Trinity Klepzig, Lindsay Dobson, and Ethan Kerr gave an update on current an upcoming activities at The CORE. 7. Youth Advisor's Report Nothing to report at this time. 8. Director’s Report Director Jessica Carpenter updated the board on upcoming events and projects. 9. Discussion regarding future agenda items.
