NATIONAL ANTHEM Ms. Samantha Drucker from the University of Miami Theater Arts Department sang the National Anthem. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Vice Mayor Kerdyk led the Pledge of Allegiance. RESOLUTIONS RESOLUTION NO. 2015-53 A.-1. 15-3895 Resolution with attachments, officially accepting the City Clerk ’s Certification and Declaration of the Result of the City of Coral Gables General Biennial Election, which was held on April 14, 2015, wherein voters re-elected Jim Cason, to hold office as Mayor, Group I, for a term of two years; said term to begin at noon on the third day after the election, until the next General Biennial Election presently scheduled for April 11, 2017. Kerdyk, Jr. be vested by the City of Coral Gables with the title of "Vice Mayor Emeritus"; further providing that since, William H. Kerdyk, Jr. was proclaimed "Mayor for a Day", as formally acknowledged during the City Commission Meeting of March 25, 2015, that his photograph be permanently hung on the second floor gallery area outside of the City Commission Chamber next to his father's photograph, namely William H. Kerdyk, Sr., as a further testament to the innumerable contributions made by him during his twenty-year tenure with the City. A copy of the Ordinance is available in the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall. Any person, or persons, wishing to appeal any decision made by the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at this meeting or hearing, will require a verbatim record of the proceeding upon which the appeal is based. Interested persons should, therefore, take the necessary steps to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made which contains the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based. Any person making impertinent or slanderous remarks or who become boisterous while addressing the Commission, shall be barred from further audience before the Commission by the Chair, unless permission to continue or again address the Commission is granted by the majority vote of the Commission Members present . Clapping, applauding, heckling or verbal outbursts or any remarks in support or opposition to a speaker shall be prohibited. Signs or placards shall not be permitted in Commission Chambers.
