The City of Coral Gables will be holding its Regular Meeting on Tuesday, August 24, 2021,
commencing at 9:00 a.m.
While the City is back to live in-person meetings, members of the public may participate in
person but are also able to participate via the Zoom platform. Members of the public may join

will be available so that any individual who does not wish (or is unable) to use Zoom may listen

C. PUBLIC COMMENTS
During this portion of the meeting, an individual may address the City Commission on an
item that is on the agenda or on a matter which is not on the agenda, but within the
scope of the City Commission’s jurisdiction. If the individual wishes to address the City
Commission on an item that is on the agenda, the individual shall not be given an
opportunity to speak again once the item is called. An individual who wishes to speak
during a public hearing where the City Commission is sitting in a quasi -judicial capacity,
must speak during the public hearing for that item.
Individuals who speak during the open public comment portion of the meeting shall be
given three (3) minutes during which to address the City Commission. At the conclusion
of one (1) hour, if the open public comment section of the meeting has not ended, it shall
end automatically, in order to proceed with the rest of the agenda.

E.-1. 21-2736 A Resolution of the City Commission confirming the re-appointment of Gary Reshefsky
(Nominated by Commissioner Menendez) to serve as a member of the Insurance and
Risk Management Advisory Board, for a two (2) year term which began on June 1, 2021
and continues through May 31, 2023.
E.-2. 21-2573 A Resolution of the City Commission accepting the recommendation of the Cultural
Development Board to re-appoint Nelson de León, Adler Guerrier, Eugenia Incer, Jacek
Kolasiński, Emily MacDonald-Korth, Marijean Miyar, and Juan Roselione-Valadez to the
Arts Advisory Panel to serve for a two (2) year term, which began on June 1, 2021 and

E.-3. 21-2582 A Resolution of the City Commission authorizing acceptance of a Florida Department of
State, Division of Arts and Culture, Specific Cultural Project Grant in the amount of
$25,000 to be put toward an outdoor temporary public art exhibition; authorizing an
amendment to the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Annual Budget to recognize the $25,000 grant
as revenue and to appropriate such funds to cover the grant expenditures.

E.-6. 21-2706 A Resolution of the City Commission authorizing entering into a Second Amendment to
Lease with Patio & Things, Inc. with regard to the City-owned retail premises at 240
Aragon Avenue, Coral Gables, Florida 33134 granting an extension of lease terms for a
period of one (1) year.
E.-7. 21-2707 A Resolution of the City Commission authorizing entering into a Third Amendment to
Lease with Robert Maguire dba Granada Snack Shop (Burger Bob’s), with regard to the
City-owned premises at 2001 Granada Blvd., Coral Gables, Florida, 33134 granting an
extension of lease term from September 1, 2021 until December 31, 2021 and providing
that the Lease may be further extended on a month -to-month basis thereafter, at the
discretion of the City Manager.

is made which contains the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based.
Any person making impertinent or slanderous remarks or who become boisterous while
addressing the Commission, shall be barred from further audience before the
Commission by the Chair, unless permission to continue or again address the
Commission is granted by the majority vote of the Commission Members present .
Clapping, applauding, heckling or verbal outbursts or any remarks in support or
opposition to a speaker shall be prohibited. Signs or placards shall not be permitted in
Commission Chambers.
