ROLL CALL Present: 4 - Board Member Permuy,Board Member Miller,Board Member Bello and Board Member Arevalo Excused: 1 - Board Member Daley APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES 18-7695 Construction Regulation Board Minutes of June 11, 2018 A motion was made by Board Member Permuy, seconded by Board Member Miller, that this matter be approved. The motion passed by the following vote. Yeas: 4- Board Member Permuy,Board Member Miller,Board Member Bello and Board Member Arevalo Excused: 1- Board Member Daley PUBLIC HEARING BUILDING RECERTIFICATION CASES 18-7736 359 Alcazar Avenue Case was postponed to the October 15, 2018 Board Hearing. 18-7737 400 Alhambra Circle Respondents were present. The owner shall submit a completed recertification report within 90 days from the Notice of Hearing, dated August 29, 2018. If deficiencies are identified on the report, the owner shall have 150 days from August 29, 2018 to recertify the structure. A motion was made by Board Member Arevalo, seconded by Board Member Miller, that this matter be approved. The motion passed by the following vote. The deadline to recertify the structure is December 10, 2018. The owner shall immediately submit a letter from an engineer certifying the building is safe for its current occupancy. The structure is to be demolished no later than one year from September 17, 2018 due to a proposed development at the site. A motion was made by Board Member Permuy, seconded by Board Member Arevalo, that this matter be approved. The motion passed by the following vote. Yeas: 4- Board Member Miller,Board Member Bello,Board Member Arevalo and Board Member Permuy Excused: 1- Board Member Daley 17-6367 2605 Anderson Road - Case returning for review Respondents were present. The owner shall recertify the structure within 15 days from the date of the Order, September 20, 2018. If the requirement is not completed within the 15 days, all residents must vacate the building and the power will be disconnected until compliance is achieved. The $250 daily fine, which commenced January 17, 2018, is to continue until compliance. A motion was made by Board Member Miller, seconded by Board Member Permuy, that this matter be approved. The owner is to update the Board in 90 days on the progress of the 3 structures at the site. A motion was made by Board Member Permuy, seconded by Board Member Arevalo, that this matter be approved. The motion passed by the following vote. The deadline to recertify the structure has been extended to November 30, 2018. Hernandez 930 Milan Avenue The contractor requested a continuance to the October Hearing prior to the meeting. 18-7742 One Stop Construction, Inc. Jesus Daer Velazquez 4315 Anderson Road The contractor requested a continuance to the October Hearing prior to the meeting. 18-7389 Saad Remodeling & Custom Home Builders, Inc. - Case returning for reconsideration of Order Gabriel J. De Orozco 440 Sansovino Avenue Contractor requested for the Board to reconsider its Order dated June 14, 2018. The Members unanimously voted to not reconsider the Order. The Case will be forwarded to Miami-Dade County through its Board of Rules and Appeals and/or the Construction Trades Qualifying Board, and its administrative enforcement agencies, and requests the County forward the matter to the State of Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board to take whatever action is appropriate. NEW BUSINESS None DISCUSSION ITEMS The owner of 930 Milan Avenue requested to address the Board due to her Contractor Complaint, Case #18-7741, was continued to the October Board Hearing as per the contractor's request. The owner expressed her frustration regarding the continuance of the Case and requested a meeting City of Coral Gables Page 3 Construction Regulation Board Meeting Minutes September 17, 2018 with City Officials.
