CALL TO ORDER
Meeting was called to order by Chairperson, Anthony Bello.

APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES
19-8326 Construction Regulation Board Minutes of January 14, 2019
Member Permuy arrived after vote was taken.
A motion was made by Board Member Daley, seconded by Board Member Miller,
that this matter be approved. The motion passed by the following vote.
Yeas: 4- Board Member Daley,Board Member Miller,Board Member Bello and Board
Member Arevalo
Excused: 1- Board Member Permuy
PUBLIC HEARING
BUILDING RECERTIFICATION CASES
18-8033 2550 Douglas Road
Respondents were not present.
The owner shall recertify the structure within 30 days of the Board's Order. If
the requirement is not completed within the 30 days the owner shall pay a
$250 daily fine for each day the violation continues.
Member Permuy arrived after vote was taken.
A motion was made by Board Member Daley, seconded by Board Member
Arevalo, that this matter be approved. The motion passed by the following vote.
Yeas: 4- Board Member Miller,Board Member Bello,Board Member Daley and Board
Member Arevalo
Excused: 1- Board Member Permuy
18-8034 1315 Ponce de Leon Boulevard
Respondents were present.
The owner shall recertify the structure within 60 days of the Board's Order. If
the requirement is not completed within the 60 days the owner shall pay a
$250 daily fine for each day the violation continues.
Waive the daily fine which commenced on February 19, 2019 as per the
previous Order.
A motion was made by Board Member Miller, seconded by Board Member
Arevalo, that this matter be approved. The motion passed by the following vote.

The owner shall recertify the structure within 180 days of the Board's Order.
If the requirement is not completed within the 180 days the owner shall pay
a $250 daily fine for each day the violation continues.
A motion was made by Board Member Daley, seconded by Board Member
Arevalo, that this matter be approved. The motion passed by the following vote.

Owner requested a postponement to the April meeting prior to the Hearing.

If the requirement is not completed within the 122 days the owner shall pay
a $250 daily fine for each day the violation continues.
A motion was made by Board Member Miller, seconded by Board Member
Arevalo, that this matter be approved. The motion passed by the following vote.

Respondents were present.
The owner shall recertify The Red Fish Grill Restaurant within 90 days of
the Board's Order. If the requirement is not completed within the 90 days
the owner shall pay a $250 daily fine for each day the violation continues.

The owner is to provide a status report to the Board within 90 days which
includes a timeline for the Park Office Building's recertification progress.
Waive the commencement of the daily fine per the previous Order.
A motion was made by Board Member Daley, seconded by Board Member Miller,
that this matter be approved. The motion passed by the following vote.

DISCUSSION ITEMS
Chairperson Bello requested the list of the 2018 mitigated and settled
Board Cases.

NOTE
Any person making impertinent or slanderous remarks or who become boisterous while
addressing the Board, shall be barred from further audience before the Board by the
Chair, unless permission to continue or again address the Board is granted by the
majority vote of the Board Members present. Clapping, applauding, heckling or verbal
outbursts or any remarks in support or opposition to a speaker shall be prohibited .
Signs or placards shall not be permitted in Commission Chambers.
Any person, who acts as a lobbyist pursuant to the City of Coral Gables Ordinance No .
2006-11, as amended, must register with the City Clerk prior to engaging in lobbying
activities before City Staff, Boards, Committees or City Commission. A copy of the
Ordinance is available in the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall. If a person decides to
appeal any decision made by a Board, Committee or City Commission with respect to
any matter considered at a meeting or hearing, that person will need to ensure that a
verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and
evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (F.S. 286.0105). Any meeting may be
opened and continued and, under certain circumstances, additional legal notice will not
be provided.
Any person requiring special accommodations in order to attend or participate in the
meeting should contact the City’s ADA Coordinator, Raquel Elejabarrieta (Email:

least three (3) working days prior to the meeting. All meetings are telecast live on Coral
