Correa Board Member Ignacio Permuy Construction Regulation Board Meeting Minutes August 12, 2019 CALL TO ORDER Meeting was called to order by Chairperson, Anthony Bello. ROLL CALL Present: 4 - Board Member Correa,Board Member Arevalo,Board Member Permuy and Chair Bello Absent: 1 - Vice Chairperson Daley APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES 19-8870 Construction Regulation Board Minutes of May 13, 2019 A motion was made by Board Member Permuy, seconded by Board Member Arevalo, that this matter be approved. The motion passed by the following vote. Yeas: 4- Board Member Correa,Board Member Arevalo,Board Member Permuy and Chair Bello Absent: 1- Vice Chairperson Daley PUBLIC HEARING 18-8170 427 Santander Avenue The Members unanimously agreed the Order issued at the March Hearing stands. The $250 daily fine to continue until compliance. A motion was made by Board Member Arevalo, seconded by Board Member Permuy, that this matter be approved. The motion passed by the following vote. Yeas: 4- Board Member Arevalo,Board Member Permuy,Chair Bello and Board Member Correa Absent: 1- Vice Chairperson Daley 19-8330 950 University Drive (Building 2) The Members unanimously agreed the Order issued at the March Hearing stands. The $250 daily fine to continue until compliance. A motion was made by Board Member Arevalo, seconded by Board Member Correa, that this matter be approved. The motion passed by the following vote. Yeas: 4- Board Member Correa,Board Member Arevalo,Board Member Permuy and Chair Bello Absent: 1- Vice Chairperson Daley HISTORIC PROPERTIES 18-7197 9610 Old Cutler Road (2 Structures - Park Office Building, Red Fish Grill Restaurant) The Members unanimously agreed the Order issued at the March Hearing City of Coral Gables Page 1 Construction Regulation Board Meeting Minutes August 12, 2019 stands for the Red Fish Grill Restaurant. The $250 daily fine to continue until compliance. The owner shall recertify the Park Office Building within 30 days of the date of the Order, to include permits and inspections, if applicable, and submittal of the Recertification Report. If the requirement is not completed within the 30 days the owner shall pay a daily fine of $250 for each day the violation continues. A motion was made by Board Member Permuy, seconded by Board Member Correa, that this matter be approved. The motion passed by the following vote. Yeas: 4- Board Member Correa,Board Member Arevalo,Board Member Permuy and Chair Bello Absent: 1- Vice Chairperson Daley DISCUSSION ITEMS Chairperson Bello asked regarding the status of the unsafe structure at 1450 Baracoa Avenue. The primary purpose of the sign -in sheet is to record the attendance at the meeting and to assist in the accurate recording of the minutes. Clapping, applauding, heckling or verbal outbursts or any remarks in support or opposition to a speaker shall be prohibited . Signs or placards shall not be permitted in the Commission Chambers. Any person, who acts as a lobbyist pursuant to the City of Coral Gables Ordinance No . 2006-11, as amended, must register with the City Clerk prior to engaging in lobbying activities before City Staff, Boards, Committees or City Commission. A copy of the Ordinance is available in the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall. If a person decides to appeal any decision made by a Board, Committee or City Commission with respect to any matter considered at a meeting or hearing, that person will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (F.S. 286.0105). Any meeting may be opened and continued and, under certain circumstances, additional legal notice will not be provided.
