UNSAFE STRUCTURE 19-9457 Saint Mary’s First Missionary Baptist Church, located at 136 Frow Avenue, a contributing resource in the MacFarlane Homestead Historic District, a Local and National Historic District, legally described as Lot 16, Block 2-A, MacFarlane Homestead, according to the Plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 5, at Page 81 of the Public Records of Miami-Dade County, has been declared an unsafe structure. Notification to the Historic Preservation Board is required by Section 3-1116 of the Coral Gables Zoning Code. VII. LOCAL HISTORIC DESIGNATIONS: 19-9462 1. CASE FILE LHD 2019-008: Consideration of the local historic designation of the property at 1208 Asturia Avenue, legally described as Lots 13 & 14, Block 6, Coral Gables Section “E,” according to the Plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 8, at Page 13 of the Public Records of Miami-Dade County, Florida. 19-9461 2. CASE FILE COA (SP) 2019-016: An application for the issuance of a Special Certificate of Appropriateness for the property at 6500 Red Road, Local Historic Landmark, legally described as Lots 1 through 8 inclusive and Lots 34 through 40 inclusive and all of the alley Northwesterly and Adjacent to Lots 34 Thru 40, Less Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 8, thence Northwesterly 10 feet, thence South 14 feet, thence Northeasterly 10 feet to the Point of Beginning, Block 196, Coral Gables Riviera Section Part 14 Second Revised Plat, as recorded in Plat Book 28, at Page 32 of the Public Records of Miami-Dade County, Florida. The application requests design approval for the demolition of the Education Wing of the church complex. 19-9470 2. CASE FILE COA (SP) 2019-018: An application for the issuance of a Special Certificate of Appropriateness for the property at 1258 Obispo Avenue, a contributing resource within the “Obispo Avenue Historic District,” legally described as Lots 1 & 2, Block 3, Coral Gables Section “E,” according to the Plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 8, at Page 13 of the Public Records of Miami-Dade County, Florida. Clapping, applauding, heckling or verbal outbursts or any remarks in support or opposition to a speaker shall be prohibited . Signs or placards shall not be permitted in Commission Chambers. Any person, who acts as a lobbyist pursuant to the City of Coral Gables Ordinance No . 2006-11, as amended, must register with the City Clerk prior to engaging in lobbying activities before City Staff, Boards, Committees or City Commission. A copy of the Ordinance is available in the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall. If a person decides to appeal any decision made by a Board, Committee or City Commission with respect to any matter considered at a meeting or hearing, that person will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (F.S. 286.0105). Any meeting may be opened and continued and, under certain circumstances, additional legal notice will not be provided.
