The Historic Preservation Board Meeting will be held as a VIRTUAL MEETING with Board
Members and City staff participating through video conferencing. This virtual meeting will be
held on the Zoom platform. Members of the public may join the meeting via Zoom at
https://zoom.us/j/92928710825?pwd=aU1BQm4yZ0dtRG9pNTc1MGJMdFRUZz09. In addition, a
dedicated phone line will be available so that any individual who does not wish (or is unable)
to use Zoom may listen to and participate in the meeting by dialing: (305) 461-6769 Meeting ID:
929 2871 0825.
To speak on an Agenda Item, please "Raise your Hand" or send a message to one of the
meeting hosts using the Zoom Platform. If you joined the meeting via telephone you can
"Raise your Hand" by pressing *9.
Any person wishing to provide testimony during the public hearing must be sworn in and
appear by video conference. An individual who wishes to testify but does not have video
conference capabilities, may provide testimony by using a dedicated station for video
conferencing located in the City Hall courtyard. PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL PERSONS MUST
WEAR A FACIAL COVERING/MASK EXCEPT WHEN PROVIDING TESTIMONY AND ALL
PERSONS MUST MAINTAIN 6 FEET BETWEEN EACH OTHER.
The meeting will also be broadcasted live for members of the public to view on the City’s
website (www.coralgables.com/cgtv) as well as Channel 77 on Comcast.
Please note that Governor DeSantis’ Executive Order Number 20-69, Executive Order 20-112,
and Executive Order 20-150 suspended the requirements of Section 112.286, Florida Statutes,
the Florida Sunshine Law, that a quorum to be present in person, and that a local government
body meet at a specific public place. The Executive Order also allows local government
bodies to utilize communications media technology, such as telephonic and video
conferencing for local government body meetings.

VI. SPECIAL CERTIFICATES OF APPROPRIATENESS
1 20-1481 CASE FILE COA (SP) 2019-023: An application for the issuance of a Special Certificate
of Appropriateness for the property at 247 Malaga Avenue, a Local Historic Landmark,
legally described as Lots 26 & 27, Block 29, Coral Gables Crafts Section, according to
the Plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 10, at Page 40 of the Public Records of
Miami-Dade County, Florida. The application requests design approval for an addition and
alterations to the commercial structure. A variance has also been requested from Article
5, Section 5-1409 of the Coral Gables Zoning Code to waive the off-street parking
requirement.

VII. STANDARD CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS
1 20-1482 CASE FILE COA (SP) 2020-001: An application for the issuance of a Special Certificate
of Appropriateness for the property at 1148 Alhambra Circle, a contributing resource
within the “Alhambra Circle Historic District,” Local Historic Landmark, legally described
as Lots 1 & 2, Block 15, Coral Gables Section “C,” according to the Plat thereof, as
recorded in Plat Book 8, at Page 26 of the Public Records of Miami-Dade County,
Florida. The application requests design approval for an addition and alterations to the
residence and sitework.
2 20-1483 CASE FILE COA (ST) 2019-174 Revised: An application for a revision to a previously
issued Standard Certificate of Appropriateness for the property at 4408 Palmarito Street,
a Contributing Resource within the “Italian Village Historic District,” legally described as
Lots 10, 11 and 12, Block 12, Coral Gables Riviera Section Part 1, according to the Plat
thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 28, Page 31, of the Public Records of Miami-Dade
County, Florida. The applicant is requesting design approval for impact -resistant windows
and doors that do not match the approved permit plans.

NOTE
Any person making impertinent or slanderous remarks or who become boisterous while
addressing the Board, shall be barred from further audience before the Board by the
Chair, unless permission to continue or again address the Board is granted by the
majority vote of the Board Members present. Clapping, applauding, heckling or verbal
outbursts or any remarks in support or opposition to a speaker shall be prohibited .
Signs or placards shall not be permitted in Commission Chambers.
Any person, who acts as a lobbyist pursuant to the City of Coral Gables Ordinance No .
2006-11, as amended, must register with the City Clerk prior to engaging in lobbying
activities before City Staff, Boards, Committees or City Commission. A copy of the
Ordinance is available in the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall. If a person decides to
appeal any decision made by a Board, Committee or City Commission with respect to
any matter considered at a meeting or hearing, that person will need to ensure that a
verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and
evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (F.S. 286.0105). Any meeting may be
opened and continued and, under certain circumstances, additional legal notice will not
be provided.
Any person requiring special accommodations in order to attend or participate in the
