The Senior Advisory Board Function FUNCTION: To review issues related to the elderly in Coral Gables and to recommend actions and programs to the City Commission, which may be utilized in planning for an developing policies to respond to the needs of senior citizens. ANNUAL REPORT: Pursuant to Ordinance No. 2005-02, Sec. 2-66 of the City Code, the Chairperson shall submit an Annual Report, approved by the board, to the City Manager by October 1st of each year. Said report shall include the following information: 1). Whether the board is serving its purpose; 2). A list of the board’s major accomplishments; 3). Whether the ordinance creating the board should be amended; 4). Whether the board’s membership requirements should be modified; 5). The costs both direct and indirect, of maintaining the board; 6). A copy of the Ordinance is available in the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall. Any person, or persons, wishing to appeal any decision made by the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at this meeting or hearing, will require a verbatim record of the proceeding upon which the appeal is based. Interested persons should, therefore, take the necessary steps to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made which contains the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based. Any person making impertinent or slanderous remarks or who become boisterous while addressing the Commission, shall be barred from further audience before the Commission by the Chair, unless permission to continue or again address the Commission is granted by the majority vote of the Commission Members present . Signs or placards shall not be permitted in Commission Chambers.
