CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 4:30 p.m. by Mayor Snow. B. ROLL CALL: Councilmembers present: Dave Demo Jose “Chuy” Valerio Shelly Hargens Lisa Lomeli Mayor-Robert Snow Staff members: Eli Stanley Benjamin Mierzwak Christina Meeds C. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Led by the City Manager. D. INVOCATION: Led by Councilor Hargens E. PROCLAMATIONS, RECOGNITIONS, APPOINTMENTS, PRESENTATIONS: None F. PUBLIC COMMENTS AND BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR: No audience members. G. REGULAR AGENDA: 1. Request City Council direction on extension of pool season to August 28, 2025. Presented by City Manager, Brant Mesker. Staff has had requests to extend the pool season like in years past. This would require to run on a different schedule to be able to safely operate. The modified schedule would allow for lap swim, water aerobics, lifeguard breaks, and evening swim on Tuesday and Thursdays as well as Saturday day swim. Councilor Valerio would like a rough estimate on how many people will be attending during the extended time. This would be data to look at next year to determine if it is worthwhile to take on the cost to operate. Councilor Demo moved to authorize the City Pool to remain open through August 28, 2025 following the aforementioned schedule; and directed staff that there is no fee; Councilor Hargens seconded the motion.
