FINAL City of Corona Library Board of Trustees' Minutes Tuesday, July 22, 2025, 5:30 p.m. Council Chambers 400 S. Vicentia Avenue Corona, CA 92882 Trustees Present: Aisha Kennerly Shirley Towler-Hayes Ruth Heineman Leslie Liddell Trustees Absent: Cherise Leonard _____________________________________________________________________ 1. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Trustee, Shirley Towler-Hayes. 2. CALL TO ORDER Chair, Aisha Kennerly, called the meeting to order at 5:39PM. 3. MEETING MINUTES 3.1 Minutes - June 24, 2025 - Draft Moved by: Leslie Liddell Seconded by: Ruth Heineman Aye (3): Aisha Kennerly, Ruth Heineman, and Leslie Liddell Abstain (1): Shirley Towler-Hayes Absent (1): Cherise Leonard MotionAPPROVED (3 to 0) 4. COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC None. 6. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS 6.1 Library Report - July 2025 Library Manager, Daniell Whittington, presented the Library Report for July 2025. The Trustees provided comments and questions. 7. TRUSTEE COMMUNICATIONS Trustee, Heineman, really appreciated that there were a lot of 20 - 30-year-old patrons at the Murder Mystery night. She thinks it is wonderful that they are coming to these events. Those activities are drawing people into the library, and they will see the other things that the library has to offer. She was glad to hear that we have had such an increase in patrons visiting the library. Trustee, Liddell, mentioned that while shelf reading, she was excited to see that we have such a wonderful Children's collection. She was impressed with the number of Children's books that we have available in the Children's area. Trustee, Towler-Hayes, was also impressed with the number of young people at the Murder Mystery on a Friday night. She thought it was a great Friday night activity for them to do. She hopes that we do more. Chair, Kennerly, agreed with everything everyone else had said. 8. ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 5:55PM. Katherine Backus Meeting Recorder 2
