PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Chair, Aisha Kennerly. 2. CALL TO ORDER Chair, Aisha Kennerly, called the meeting to order at 5:31PM. 3. COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC None. 6. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS 6.1 Library Report - September 2025 Director, Donna Finch, introduced Library Manager, Daniell Whittington, and the report to be presented. Daniell presented the Library Report for September 2025. The Trustees provided comments. 6.2 Budget Report FY26 Katherine Backus, Management Analyst I, provided a report on the Corona Public Library Budget for Fiscal Year 2026. The Trustees provided questions and comments. 6.3 Policies Report Library Manager, Daniell Whittington, provided a report on the policy updates for the Corona Public Library. The Trustees provided questions and comments and voted to approve the policies as presented. Trustees provided questions and their appreciation for the work Martin is doing with the Veteran's community. 7. TRUSTEE COMMUNICATIONS Trustee, Heineman, said that it sounds like we are starting our year off well with the budget and everything. She looks forward to all the activities. She knows that our creative library crew will be coming up with lots of wonderful things for the year. Vice Chair, Leonard, said that the direction that our library has taken with Daniell Whittington at the helm has been amazing. The staff was amazing before, but the direction as been admirable. We have so many exciting events and it is awesome to see. Our library is nonstop excitement. She is super excited about ReaderCon with 66 authors on Sunday and all the things that the Library and the Friends are doing in 2  FINAL tandem. She just wanted to tell everyone how they are appreciated. She also wanted to give a shout out about the School Librarian Luncheon. Her librarian came back saying that the luncheon was amazing. Daniell said that event was led by our amazing Library Supervisor, Jennifer Bauserman. Trustee, Liddell, said that one of her students comes to the library every day after school so that he can get his homework done and go home and play. Also, Martin leads field trips for elementary school students and leads her class when they come in and learn about the library. Her students take pictures of themselves with her picture on the wall and send them to her. She asked Daniell to send her the slides, and she will post them on Dojo. Chair, Kennerly, said that she was bragging about our library to a friend of hers in Atlanta. She said if we had libraries like this when we were growing up, that is where we would have been all the time. She said you are all doing a fantastic job, and we are looking forward to the rest of the year. 8. ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 6:21PM. Katherine Backus Meeting Recorder 3
