economy development
i. Creative placemaking and public art
ii. “Create Denver” initiative
iii. there has been a rich creative culture that has been built in Denver where
it is drawing creatives here
iv. “Yes Please More” = 100 percent Colorado creative goods like “buy local”
1. utilizing vacant spaces

a. had no budget so had to dumpster dive to get cardboard
b. this store brought in $30,000.00 in three months
c. they took 30 percent, started a grant fund
d. funding local startups

ii. using “fun” as the secret sauce, to build
communities
