DPW Board Meeting 2/11/2014 – Minutes by Nic Dovi Attendants: Chris Bistocchi- DPW Superintendant Nic Dovi- DPW Deputy Superintendent Steve Pearsall Pat O’mara Russ Teeter Abby Withers Keith Vangorder 6:34 pm- Meeting called to order Old Business: None New Business: 1- Open discussion on newly formed board, members and their functions. 2- Open discussion about condition of City traffic signals and pedestrian crosswalks. Motion (by Pat O’mara) to Remove the traffic signals at the intersection of Central Avenue and Pomeroy and install a two way stop intersection. This two-way stop would allow traffic to flow North and South without impediment but stop traffic on Central Avenue in both directions. Motion Seconded (by Abby Withers) All in Favor - The light that is currently in this intersection will be temporarily left blinking (on Flash) until motorists are accustomed to the change in the traffic control devices. (KeithVangorder) -Discussion of the current parking structure on Church Street between the exit driveway of City Hall (25 Court Street) and Court Street. Recommended changes are due to City Police having line of sight issues when pulling out into driving lane. Parking adjustment would prohibit parking for approximately 20 feet (north) from driveway. Motion (by Pat O’mara) Seconded by (Russ Teeter) All in favor Highway Side Boundaries Church Street West For a distance of 20+ feet north of the existing driveway at 25 Court Street.
