Department of Public Works Board Meeting Tuesday November 10, 2015 Members Present: M. Doughty, S. Pearsall, P. O’Mara, R. Teeter, C. Kostuk Others Present: Superintendent Chris Bistocchi, Deputy Superintendent Nic Dovi Meeting called to order at 6:30pm by P. O’Mara Approval of Minutes from meeting on October 13, 2015 Motion by R. Teeter Second by S. Pearsall All in favor – Approved unanimously No Old Business. New Business: 1. To restrict parking on the West side of Halbert Street + 75 feet from the intersection of Madison Street. Brief discussion in regards to snow plowing. Motion by M. Doughty Second by C. Kostuk All in favor – Approved unanimously 2. Discussion on the completed Warrant Analysis on four intersections within the City of Cortland; Pomeroy at Elm, Greenbush at Central, Greenbush at Elm and Pendleton at Valley View were the intersections the data was collected from. The Board fully supported the findings of C&S Engineers and will make these recommendations to Common Council. Other Items: -Commissioner Tollner recently resigned from the DPW Board, brief discussion about filling vacancy. -Grievances from Code Office. Representative from Code Officers requested for December’s meeting to formalize the process and procedure -Commission was slightly confused and against hearing the garbage grievances due to the minimal involvement by DPW. Meeting Adjourned at 7:20pm Motioned by M.
