Board Meeting Tuesday January 10, 2017
Members Present:
S. Pearsall, K. VanGorder, C. Kostuk, B. Stark, P. O’mara
Others Present:
Superintendent- C. Bistocchi
Deputy Superintendent- N. Dovi
Meeting called to order at 6:30 pm by P. O’Mara
Approval of minutes from the DPW Board meeting from December 13, 2016
Motion to accept: First by C. Kostuk Second by B. Stark
All in favor: Unanimously approved
Old Business: Discussion on the accident reports received from the Cortland Police Department to help
determine if the intersection of Randall Street and Cedar Street should be changed to a four way stop.
Presently, the intersection is a two way stop; allowing traffic to flow freely down Randall. Board
members discussed the minimal number of accidents over the last five years as well as that the area is
currently a school zone and traffic should already be proceeding through with caution.
Motion to deny: First by B. Stark Second by K. VanGorder
New Business: None
Other items Discussed:
City owned street lights and the options and of changing them over to LED. Funding sources and
programs that are available to help with the possible change over.
