Board Meeting Tuesday February 13, 2018

Meeting called to order at 6:30 pm by P. O’Mara
Approval of minutes from the DPW Board meeting from December 12, 2017
Motion to accept: First by B. Stark Second by K. VanGorder
All in favor: Unanimously Approved
Old Business: None
New Business:
Water Grievance
1. 40-44 Rickard Street
No one present to speak on grievance. Brief discussion of resident’s request to set up a payment
plan. Board decided this was out of their duty and responsibilities, and will seek official opinion
from City of Cortland Corporation Counsel.
No motion necessary at this time
Public Safety items:
1. Review the official removal of the traffic signal and installation of a four-way stop at the
intersection of Pomeroy and Elm Street.
In depth discussion by Alderperson Beckwith and various residents. Review of the Traffic Signal
Warrant Analysis completed by C&S Companies on October 6, 2016.

All in favor: Unanimously approved
2. Installation of four-way stop at intersection of Pomeroy and Central in place of current two-way
stop. Discussion of All Way Stop Warrant Analysis completed by C&S Companies on November
16, 2015.
In depth discussion by Alderperson Beckwith, board members and various residents.
