Anyone wishing to comment in person may also sign up on the appropriate form in Council Chambers, before the Presiding Officer calls the meeting to order. Written comments or testimony may be submitted to cityrecorder@cottagegrove.org or delivered to the City Recorder by 5:00 pm the date of the meeting at 400 E Main Street, Cottage Grove, Oregon . WORK SESSION (1) CALL TO ORDER (2) ROLL CALL (3) ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES ANALYSIS – 30 Minutes (4) ADJOURNMENT REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING (1) CALL TO ORDER (2) ROLL CALL/PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE (3) ITEMS TO BE ADDED TO THE AGENDA Appearance of Interested Citizens This is a time for citizen comment. The Council will first take comments addressing items not listed on the agenda, for a maximum of 30 minutes. The Council will then take comments addressing action items on the agenda, for a maximum of 30 minutes. Individual speakers must be recognized by the presiding officer, provide their name, identify whether they are a City resident, and if so, their ward. Please limit comments to three (3) minutes (or less, with Council approval.) Comments regarding any matter scheduled for a public hearing may be provided only during that hearing. The Council will not make any decisions based on public comment; however, Staff and Council may choose to ask questions or comment following the conclusion of citizen comments. Time permitting, the Presiding Officer may provide an additional opportunity for members of the public appearing in person or virtually to comment on one or more of the following action items, after the staff report and prior to Council discussion on an item, except on items for which a public hearing was or is scheduled to be held. Citizen comment time on any action item will not exceed 10 minutes, cumulatively, and will be limited to three minutes per speaker, or less, as determined by the Presiding Officer. Comments should not repeat prior comments, must address the specific item, and cannot be used for additional discussion of other agenda action items.
