Graham, III Mayor Pro-tem Danny Wyatt Council Member Jesse Kerley Council Member George Marlow Council Member Pete Souza City Manager David Rutherford City Clerk Sally Oglesby Call for Special Meeting Minutes March 28, 2014 The City Council for the City of Crossville, Tennessee met in special session on Friday, March 28, 2014, at Crossville City Hall. Roll Call Present 3 - Council Member George Marlow, Mayor Pro-tem Danny Wyatt, and Council Member Jesse Kerley Absent 2 - Mayor J.H. Graham III, and Council Member Pete Souza Others present were City Manager David Rutherford, City Clerk Sally Oglesby, Bruce Wyatt, Carmen Wyatt, Andy Vaughn, Skip Freitag, Lori Neal Freitag, Mike Moser, Fred Sherrill, Oscar Elmore, and Terry Elmore. Mayor Pro-Tem Danny Wyatt was present and presiding. He called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. 1) Approval of a Certificate of Compliance for a retail liquor license for Bruce and Carmen Wyatt dba D & D Liquor located at 32 Crossings Way D & D Liquor is being sold to Bruce and Carmen Wyatt by the current owners, Don and Dolores Haberman. An application has been received from the Wyatts for a Certificate of Compliance, which has been reviewed and approved by the City Attorney and Chief of Police as required by the ordinance. Following approval of the issuance of the Certificate of Compliance, they can file the necessary documents to the Alcoholic Beverage Commission. Notice of this meeting was run in the March 21, March 25, and March 26 editions of the Crossville Chronicle as required by law. Councilman Pete Souza was unable to attend the meeting but submitted the following statement "I apologize for not being available. For the record, I have no opposition to the change of ownership of the liquor store in this case or any future cases. This is a private business decision." A motion was made by Council Member George Marlow, seconded by Council Member Jesse Kerley, that a Certificate of Compliance be issued to Bruce and Carmen Wyatt dba D & D Liquor located at 32 Crossings Way. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 3- Council Member George Marlow, Mayor Pro-tem Danny Wyatt and Council Member Jesse Kerley ADJOURNMENT With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 2:04 p.m. City of Crossville Page 1
