Call to Order Mayor James Mayberry was present and presiding. He called the meeting to order at 4:50 p.m. Roll Call Present 5 - Council Member Pamala Harris, Council Member Danny Wyatt, Mayor Pro-tem J. H. Graham, Council Member Scot Shanks, and Mayor James Mayberry Others present were City Manager Greg Wood, City Attorney Will Ridley, City Clerk Sally Oglesby, David Beaty, Jonathan O'Neal, Greg Hoskins, Jeanne Geib, Mamie Lou Cox, Mark Rosser, Valorie Cox, Andy Vaughn, Travis Threet, Peggy Threet, Charles Threet, James Wattenbarger, Heather Mullinix, Anita Threet, Clyde Bowman Jr., Harold Stryker, Kateria Atkinson, Conner Atkinson, Darryl Atkinson, Gavin Threet, Marcey Bowman, Mike Turner, Brad Allamong, Mitch Lowe, Somee Lowe, Matthew Lowe, Terry Lowe, Steve W. J. Peterson, Tammie French, and Levonn Hubbard. 1 Crossville Shooting Sports Park, Inc. Mayor Pro-Tem J. H. Graham presented a resolution rescinding the contract with Crossville Shootings Sports Parks, Inc. It was reported that there were 42 signatures on the petition, which appears to be a majority of the property owners. There are approximately 7 homes on Albert Frye Rd. Those in opposition of the motion pointed out there have been 7 meetings in reference to the shooting sports park. They also reported that considerable time has been spent by staff, TWRA, U.S. Fish & Wildlife, and Historic Preservation and all the environmental surveys have been completed. It was also pointed out that it was a very sought after grant and the City Council had approved the agreement. The benefits of the sport for the youth was presented. Those in favor of the motion commented that they want the facility, but in another location and that there should have been a public hearing. They also pointed out there are a lot of unknowns about the project and future development of property in the area. A motion was made by Mayor Pro-tem J. H. Graham, seconded by Council Member Danny Wyatt, that the resolution rescinding the contract with Crossville Shooting Sports Park, Inc. for the purchase of real estate be approved. H. Graham Nay: 2- Council Member Scot Shanks and Mayor James Mayberry A motion was made by Mayor Pro-tem J. H. Graham, seconded by Council Member Danny Wyatt, that the question be called. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Council Member Pamala Harris, Council Member Danny Wyatt, Mayor Pro-tem J. H. Graham, Council Member Scot Shanks and Mayor James Mayberry (The vote on the call for the question was held prior to the vote on the main motion.)
