Garden Party weather was not great, Downtown will no longer move forward with this event. The
Downtown Organization has received request for non-profits to partner and put on events, the Downtown
Organization is now working on policy. The Pride event was a huge success. The next event coming up is the
Disability event. Additionally the first Wine Walk scheduled for June 28th from 2-6pm sold out with 300
tickets sold and 13 participating locations.
Crystal Lake Chamber
Catherine shared the Chamber had a successful golf outing at the Crystal Lake Country Club. The
Independence Day Parade planning is in full swing and participation numbers are greater than last year.
Excited to return to the normal parade route and there will be a lot of new paid acts in the parade.
McEDC
As part of the City’s role on the MCEDC Board, Crystal Lake is the municipal representative for the EDGE
Group made up of municipalities and Chamber leaders that meet quarterly to collaborate on County
initiatives. Recently we met to explore incubator opportunities. The group is exploring what it would take to
bring a Test Kitchen Incubator to McHenry County.

throughout Crystal Lake. The City will be rolling out a new Quarterly Business Newsletter for the business
