5) Trolley Tour 2025
B. Niequist was very appreciative that articles were turned in early. N. Haskins has started the
layout. She still needs photos to go with the articles. B. Wyman said he can take some current
photos. They will also need to work with the Historical Society on getting some pictures and
giving credit to them for any historical photos.
They talked through the “day of” steps. B. Wyman said his wife and N. Haskins will be at the
table to take and sell tickets. B. Niequist said the tickets are live online and in person. They
need a fourth tour group. They have B. Wyman and Z. Benkert, Brynn and M. Sommerfield, the
young intern Sam and possibly another assistant or intern, and A. Freund and B. Niequist. The
Park District will do the setup onsite.
N. Haskins said there are four pages for ads. They have Dukes in for $150, the Knights for $150,
and the Enclave for $500. They need to reach out to Water’s Edge and Georgio’s. Z. Benkert
spoke with Conscious Cup and B. Wyman will talk with JC Licht.
B. Niequist reminded everyone that they can take breaks if they are not doing a tour, but they
should also stay around the house and help their groups on tours. B. Niequist said she will
provide the articles and notes on the stop and non-stops. She went through the tour route and the
turns. A. Freund noted the online ticket link has been posted a on the tourism sites.
6) Member Inquiries and Reports
B. Wyman said they had a call with Andrew Heckenkamp at the State regarding the train depot.
They are getting closer to having a suitable application for protection. This is one of the last
stations of the same style so that may be why it qualifies. Also he asked about the plaque in
1
McCormick Park. Staff noted the Public Works Department will install it. Staff will get the date
it will be installed so an event can be planned.
7) Adjournment
There being no further business, B. Wyman made a motion to adjourn the meeting. A. Freund
seconded the motion. On voice vote, all members voted aye. The meeting adjourned at 4:07
p.m.
