Members of the public wishing comment on an item on the agenda may do so in the following ways: 1) E-mail comments by 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2 to the Committee at LegislativeCommittee@cupertino.org. These e-mail comments will be received by the committee members before the meeting and posted to the City’s website after the meeting. 2) E-mail comments during the times for public comment during the meeting to the Committee at LegislativeCommittee@cupertino.org. The staff liaison will read the emails into the record, and display any attachments on the screen, for up to 3 minutes (subject to the Chair’s discretion to shorten time for public comments). Subject: Consider adopting a position on the Education Omnibus Trailer Bill with May Revision Amendments regarding excess Educational Revenue Augmentation Funds (ERAF) Recommended Action: Adopt a position opposing the trailer bill’s provisions to retroactively shift property taxes from counties, cities, and special districts; apply civil penalties to audited, good-faith actions of county officials; and install the Department of Finance as the oversight body.
