~AD HOC REPORT~ Master Municipal Agreement for Construction Projects Tuesday, September 24, 2024 Chair Peter Buzaid called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. Present was Committee Member Andrea Gartner. Absent was Committee Member Emile Buzaid. From the City were; Eric Gottschalk, Outside Counsel; Antonio Iadarola, Public Works Director & City Engineer; Dan Garrick, Finance Director; and Taylor O’Brien, Chief of Staff, Mayor’s Office. Also present was Ex-Officio Member Irving Fox. Chair P. Buzaid read the meeting notice and asked Mr. Gottschalk to provide an overview of the agreement. Mr. Gottschalk explained that this agreement is an updated version of the 2013 agreement identifying project and vendor/contractor responsibilities. He noted that this version added a clearer definition of municipal administered projects with upfront vs. reimbursed funding. Chair P. Buzaid ask for confirmation that this agreement addresses any Department of Transportation (DOT) funded construction projects; Mr. Gottschalk confirmed. Mr. Fox discussed how informative this summary was as well as the summary of from the DOT; and asked for clearer communications and summaries to the Council for all future agreements. He thanked the committee and staff for their time. A motion made by Member Gartner, and seconded by Chair P. Buzaid, to recommend to the Council the approval of the ten-year Master Municipal Agreement for construction projects with the Department of Transportation for projects with state funding. The motion carried. A motion was made by Chair P. Buzaid, and seconded by Member Gartner, to adjourn. The motion carried.
