CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION Meeting MINUTES April 13, 2022 10:00 a.m. Via Videoconference Roll Call: The meeting was called to order by Chair Andrew Wetmore, Commissioner Susan Ward and Commissioner Bruce Bennett. Also present was Denise Janey, Chief Examiner; Patrick Ridenhour, Police Chief; Shaun McColgan Deputy Police Chief; Katie Pearson, Library Director; and Dan. Minutes: Review and accept previous meeting’s minutes Motion by Commissioner Bennett, seconded by Chair Wetmore, to accept the previous meeting's minutes. Motion carried unanimously. Personnel Status: Status Change: None New Hires: None Retirements: Ms. Janey noted the following retirements: Craig Martin, Police Department; and Sean McGowan, Fire Department. Resignations: Ms. Janey noted Christina D’Ercole with the Library Department is retiring. New Business: Request to Approve the Eligibility List (s): - Deputy Police Chief Ms. Janey requested the Commission approve the eligibility list for four individuals. Motion by Commissioner Bennett, seconded by Chair Wetmore, to approve the Eligibility List. Motion carried unanimously.  - Certified Police Officer Ms. Janey requested the Commission approve the eligibility list for six individuals. Motion by Commissioner Bennett, seconded by Chair Wetmore, to approve the Certified Police Officer Eligibility List. Motion carried unanimously. Request to Remove Candidates from Certified Police Office Eligibility List: - Tai Lee - Taylor Marie Prahach Ms. Janey noted the individuals have declined employment and requested to be removed from the list. Motion by Commissioner Bennett, seconded by Chair Wetmore, to remove Tai Lee and Taylor Marie Prahach from the Certified Police Officer Eligibility List. Motion carried unanimously. Request for Qualification of Applicants: - Assistant Director of Permit Coordination Ms. Janey noted the position is a promotional opportunity. She requested the Commission approve an interview for the candidate selected. Motion by Commissioner Bennett, seconded by Commissioner Ward, to qualify the following applicant ending in person id 294. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Commissioner Ward, seconded by Commissioner Bennett, to offer an interview only, to the candidate selected for the Assistant Director of Permit Coordination, person id ending in 294. Motion carried unanimously. - Library Technical Assistant II (Project Coordinator) Motion by Commissioner Ward, seconded by Commissioner Bennett, to qualify the following individuals for the Library Technical Assistant II (Project Coordinator), with person id's ending in 4342. 4076, 6453, 4627, 3026, 0453, 0923, 4826, 1099, 8854, 2165, 6216, 4944, 3569, 9778, 0490, 4575 and 2890.
