CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION Meeting MINUTES October 26, 2022 10:00 a.m. Via Videoconference Roll Call: The meeting was called to order by Chair Susan Ward, and Commissioner Rick Rogers. Also present were Daniel Stachowicz, Chief Examiner/HR Analyst; Virginia Alosco-Werner, Director of Human Resources; and Christina Henry, Human Resource Generalist. Minutes: October 5, 2022 & October 12, 2022 Motion by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward, to accept the meeting's minutes dated October 5, 2022. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward, to accept the meeting's minutes dated October 12, 2022. Motion carried unanimously. Personnel Status: New Hires: Mr. Stachowicz noted two new hires: Daniella Cruz, Cashier - Tax Collector; and Allen Javery, Truck Driver - Highways. New Business: Certification of the Certified Police Officer Eligibility List Motion by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward, to certify the Police Officer Eligibility List. Motion carried unanimously. Certification of the Pipe Installer I Eligibility List Motion by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward, to certify the Pipe Installer Eligibility List. Motion carried unanimously. Certification of the Librarian I (I&S) Eligibility List Motion by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward, to certify the Librarian I (I&S) Eligibility List. Motion carried unanimously. Certification of the Auto Equipment Operator Eligibility List Motion by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward, to certify the Auto Equipment Operator Eligibility List. Motion carried unanimously. Qualification of Applications: - Certified Police Officer Motion by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward, to accept the candidates for the Certified Police Officer position with person id's ending in 5243, and 9050. Motion carried unanimously. - Entry Level Police Officer Motion by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward, to disqualify the candidates for the Entry Level Police Officer position with person id's ending in 6653, 3830, 6581, 8268, and 9849; furthermore, accept the remaining 68 candidates. Motion carried unanimously. Removal of candidates – Truck Driver List Motion by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward, to remove three candidates from the Truck Driver Eligibility List. Motion carried unanimously. Removal of candidates request – Certified Police Officer Eligibility List Motion by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward, to remove three candidates from the Certified Police Officer Eligibility List.
