CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION Meeting MINUTES November 30, 2022 10:00 A.M. Via Videoconference (ZOOM) Roll Call: The meeting was called to order by Chair Susan Ward. Also present were Commissioner Rick Rogers, Commissioner Bruce Bennett, Nelly Espinal, Acting Chief Examiner, Ginny Werner, Director of Human Resources, and Christina Henry, HR Generalist. Minutes: November 9, 2022 and Special Meeting November 17, 2022 Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Commissioner Bennett, to accept the meeting minutes dated November 9,2022 and November 17, 2022. Motion carried unanimously. Personnel Status: Promotions: Chair Ward read into the record the following promotions: Brian Porwitzki and Casey Rushin (Pipe Installer I) William Reiss to Auto Equipment Operator II, Thomas Corbett, Kevin Lunnie and Theodore Mourges to Fire Administrative Captain. Resignations/Terminations: New Business: Request Removal of Candidates– Certified Police Officer Eligibility List Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Commissioner Bennett, to remove the following candidates from the Entry Level Police Officer Eligibility List; Candidates 53830, 238739, 201305, 239837, and 229049. Motion carried unanimously. Qualification of Applications: - Legal Secretary Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Commissioner Bennett, to accept the following applicants for the Legal Secretary position with applicant id's 52118847, 52044492, 28895939, 45620728, 52079002, 52140381, 52031980, 52015463, 37924304, 48013191, and 49410380. All others were rejected due to not meeting the minimum requirements. Motion carried unanimously. -Accountant /Payroll Supervisor  Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Commissioner Bennett, to accept the following applicants for the Accountant/Payroll Supervisor position with applicant id's ending in 47787540, 51999390 and 521119811905, 9398 and 7103. All others were rejected due to not meeting the minimum requirements. Motion carried unanimously. Request to approve Job Description for Chief Examiner/HR Specialist Motion made by Commissioner Bennett, seconded by Commissioner Rogers, to approve the revised Chief Examiner/HR Specialist. Motion carried unanimously. Request to approve Job Description for Technical Program Assistant Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Commissioner Bennett, to approve the new position and job description for the Technical Program Assistant. Motion carried unanimously. Request to the reclassification of the DMEA position Health Program Coordinator Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Commissioner Bennett, to approve the new position and job description for the Health Program Coordinator. Motion carried unanimously. Request to extend the Police Detective Eligibility List for an additional year Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Commissioner Bennett, to extend the Police Detective Eligibility list for an additional year with an expiration date of December 15, 2023. Motion carried unanimously. Certification of the Assistant Zoning Enforcement Officer Eligibility List Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Commissioner Bennett, to certify the Assistant Zoning Enforcement Officer Eligibility list with an expiration date of November 30, 2023. Motion carried unanimously. Certification of the Certified Police Officer Eligibility List Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Commissioner Bennett, to certify the Certified Police Officer Eligibility list with an expiration date of November 30, 2023. Motion carried unanimously. Request to add an item to the agenda Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Commissioner Bennett, to add an item to the agenda. Motion carried unanimously. Request to approve Job Description for Deputy Assessor Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Commissioner Bennett, to approve the new position and job description for the position of Deputy Assessor.
