Via Videoconference (ZOOM) Roll Call: The meeting was called to order by Chair Susan Ward; also present were Commissioner Rick Rogers, Chief Examiner Nelly Espinal, HR Assistant Aleyda Martinez, Associate Director of Community Health Fernanda Carvalho, and Chief of Water Distribution, Sewer and Collection Chris Gardner Minutes: Meeting August 9th, 2023 Motion made by Commissioner Rogers and seconded by Chair Ward, to accept the meeting minutes dated July 31st and August 9th, 2023 Motion carried unanimously. Personnel Status: New Hires Firefighters – Colton Cherney, Jack Fitzpatrick, Michael Patrick Norman, Michael C. Schenk, Christopher Mihaly, Cameron Priola and Michael Christie Police Officers – Demetrios Babatsikos and Alba Garcia Promotions James Antonelli- Police Lieutenant New Business: Qualification of Applications: - Sanitarian Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward, to reject the following applications: 4767110, 11906585, 46095772 and 48080426 and to accept the following applicants: 21218741, 45410583, 45571597, 48216742 and 54424855. Motion carried unanimously. Qualification of Applications: - Fleet Mechanic Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward, to reject the following application: 54799762 and to accept the following applicants: 28773677, 47921729, 52667025, 54680073, 54745273, and 54821239. Motion carried unanimously. Qualification of Applications: - Assistant Building Inspector/Plan Reviewer Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward, to reject all the applications received. Application numbers are as follows: 47667110, 46086412, 48329195, 49724089, 53550009, 54616114, 54628492, 54628889, 54683129, 54702409, and 54735942. Motion carried unanimously. Qualification of Applications: - Tax Coordinator Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward, to accept applicant 31861171 and that the Department Head’s interview be in lieu of testing. Motion carried unanimously. Qualification of Applications: - Plumbing HVAC Inspector Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward, to reject all the applications received. Application numbers are as follows: 4767110, 37657336, and 54767577. Motion carried unanimously. Certification of Eligibility List – Environmental Compliance Inspector Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward, to certify the Environmental Compliance Inspector Eligibility list with an expiration date of August 23rd, 2024. Motion carried unanimously. Request Removal of Candidates – Senior Project Leader Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward, to remove the following candidates from the Senior Project Leader eligibility list, candidate 54367229 Steven Guido and candidate 54322429, Patrick Rudell for not meet the requirements of the position.
