CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES February 28, 2024 10:00 A.M. Via Videoconference (ZOOM) Roll Call: The meeting was called to order by Chair Susan Ward; also present were Commissioner Rick Rogers, Chief Examiner Nelly Espinal, HR Generalist Christina Norman, , HR Assistant Aleyda Martinez, Health & Human Services Director Kara Prunty, and Associate Director of Health & Human Services Fernanda Carvalho. Minutes: Meeting February 21st, 2024. Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward to accept the meeting minutes dated February 21st, 2024. Motion carried unanimously. Personnel Status: Terminations: Alice Dyer, Secretary-Retirement Alba Garcia, Police Officer- Resignation Paul Tibbits, Police Officer- Retirement Candidate Request Removal- Certified Police Officer Eligibility List Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward to remove candidate #606522 Yimelfi Mercado-De Mateo from the Certified Police Officer Eligibility list as the applicant elected not to continue in hiring process. Motion carried unanimously. Qualification of Applications: Registered Environmental Health Specialist Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward to reject the following applicants, as they do not meet the requirements of the position; 44504792, 47467945, and 56023838 and to accept all the other applicants as they meet the requirements of the position. Applicants accepted- 30530359, 44914430, 48219672, and 49737135. Motion carried unanimously. Certification of Library Technical Assistant II –Civic Engagement & Marketing Coordinator Eligibility List Motion made by Commissioner Rogers and seconded by Chair Ward to certify the Library Technical Assistant II – Civic Engagement & Marketing Coordinator eligibility list with an expiration date of February 28, 2025.
