CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES April 10, 2024 10:00 A.M. Via Videoconference (ZOOM) Roll Call: The meeting was called to order by Chair Susan Ward; also present were Commissioner Rick Rogers, Chief Examiner Nelly Espinal, Director of Human Resources Ginny Werner, HR Generalist Christina Norman, and members from the public Winsome Bogle and Rosa Maria Figueiredo. Minutes: Meeting March 27th, 2024. Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward to accept the meeting minutes dated March 27th, 2024. Motion carried unanimously. Personnel Status: Promotions: Police Lieutenant- Brian Peloso Police Sergeant- Marc Doherty New Hires: Police Officers - Matthew Tian, Brandon Ray, David Ramires, Evan VanHoose and Nicholas Carinha. Terminations: Sharon Calitro- Director of Planning, Matthew Georgoulis- Police LT New Business: Appeal: Registered Environmental Health Specialist- Oral Exam Chair Ward offered the candidate the option to go into executive session should the candidate not want the discussion regarding the status of their appeal to be discussed in an open session and on the record. The applicant elected to go into executive session. Motion made by Commission Rogers, and seconded by Chair Ward to go into executive session. Motion carried unanimously. Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward to deny the appeal regarding the score of the oral exam for candidate #48219672 Winsome Bogle. Motion carried unanimously. Appeal: Customer Service Representative-Applicant Chair Ward offered the candidate the option to go into executive session should the candidate not want the discussion regarding the status of their appeal to be discussed in an open session and on the record. The applicant elected not to go into executive session. Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward to accept the appeal for candidate #5718283, Rosa Maria Figueiredo and to continue to the next step in the process. Certification of Mechanic Eligibility List Motion made by Commissioner Rogers and seconded by Chair Ward to certify the Mechanic eligibility list with an expiration date of April 10, 2025.
