CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES February 19, 2025 10:00 A.M. Via Videoconference (ZOOM) Roll Call: The meeting was called to order by Chair Susan Ward; also present were Commissioner Rick Rogers, Chief Examiner Nelly Espinal, HR Generalist Christina Norman, Director of Human Resources Ginny Werner and HR Assistant Aleyda Martinez. Minutes: Meeting February 5th, 2025 Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward to accept the meeting minutes from February 5th, 2025. Motion carried unanimously. Personnel Status: New Hires: Abdullah Al Mahmud – Police Officer Promotions: Jason J. Biroscak to Fire Lieutenant Shawn McGee to Deputy Fire Chief Mark Miguel to Fire Captain New Business: Qualifications of Applications: Account Clerk II Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward to reject the following applicant as the applicants did not meet the minimum requirements of the position: 9283316 and to accept all other applicants as they meet the requirements of the position; 37400658, 47951616, 48102645, 50016553, 53079348, and 61229223. Motion carried unanimously. Certification of LTA-Project Coordinator Eligibility List Motion made by Commissioner Rogers and seconded by Chair Ward to certify the LTA-Project Coordinator eligibility list with an expiration date of February 19, 2026. Motion carried unanimously. Certification of Clerk Typist II Eligibility List Motion made by Commissioner Rogers and seconded by Chair Ward to certify the Clerk Typist II eligibility list with an expiration date of February 19, 2026. Motion carried unanimously Acknowledgement of Reclassification- Assistant Town Clerk Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward to acknowledge the reclassification of the position of Assistant Town Clerk from a grade 6 to a grade 7. Motion carried unanimously. Extend Eligibility List- LTA II Civic Engagement & Marketing Coordinator Motion made by Commissioner Rogers and seconded by Chair Ward to extend the Library Technical Assistant (LTA) II Civic Engagement & Marketing Coordinator eligibility list with an expiration date of February 28th, 2026.
