CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES April 2, 2025 10:00 A.M. Via Videoconference (ZOOM) Roll Call: The meeting was called to order by Chair Susan Ward; also present were Commissioner Larry Phelan, Chief Examiner Nelly Espinal, Director of Human Resources Ginny Werner and HR Generalist Christina Norman. Minutes: Meeting March 6th, 2025 Motion made by Commissioner Phelan, seconded by Chair Ward to accept the meeting minutes from March 6th, 2025. Motion carried unanimously. Personnel Status: New Hires: Kristen Kops & Jaime Lopez-Castillo – Police Officers Madeline Beckham - Clerk Typist II- Assessor Lauren Kochanov – Clerk Typist II - Assessor Job Change: Tammy Sullivan- Account Clerk II -Tax Collector Resignations/ Retirements/ Terminations: Shannon Betts- LTA Civic Engagement & Marketing Coordinator John Kennedy- Firefighter John Saffioti- Registered Environmental Health Specialist New Business: Certification of MM III- Electrician Eligibility List Motion made by Commissioner Phelan and seconded by Chair Ward to certify the MM III- Electrician eligibility list with an expiration date of April 2, 2026. Motion carried unanimously. Certification of Operator Repairperson Eligibility List Motion made by Commissioner Phelan and seconded by Chair Ward to certify the Operator Repairperson eligibility list with an expiration date of April 2, 2026. Motion carried unanimously. Certification of Public Safety Technology Manager Eligibility List Motion made by Commissioner Phelan and seconded by Chair Ward to certify the Public Safety Technology Manager eligibility list with an expiration date of April 2, 2026. Motion carried unanimously. Qualifications of Applications: Truck Driver Motion made by Commissioner Phelan, seconded by Chair Ward to reject the following applicants as the applicants did not meet the minimum requirements of the position: 60764842, 60038845, 61988781, 25879848, 61681214, 55648880, 51841161, 62000377, 61953177, 61888907, 49684686, 56543462, 32565973, 61915694, 2821483, 46792389, and to accept all other applicants as they meet the requirements of the position. Motion carried unanimously. Acknowledgement of Reclassification- Administrative Coordinator Motion made by Commissioner Phelan, seconded by Chair Ward to acknowledge the reclassification of the position of Administrative Coordinator from a grade 4 to a grade 5.
