CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES April 16, 2025 10:00 A.M. Via Videoconference (ZOOM) Roll Call: The meeting was called to order by Chair Susan Ward; also present were Commissioner Larry Phelan, Chief Examiner Nelly Espinal, HR Assistant Aleyda Martinez and Fire Chief Richard Thode. Minutes: Meeting April 2nd, 2025 Motion made by Commissioner Phelan, seconded by Chair Ward to accept the meeting minutes from April 2nd, 2025. Motion carried unanimously. Personnel Status: New Hires: Rodrigo H. Fuenzalida – Library Technical Assistant (LTA) - Civil Engagement & Marketing Douglas C. Lord – LTA - Library Technical Assistant (LTA) – Project Coordinator Resignations/ Retirements/ Terminations: Alexander P. Greczylo – Firefighter New Business: Application Appeal- Truck Driver Motion made by Commissioner Phelan and seconded by Chair Ward to accept the appeal for the following applicants: 60038845- Jimmy Andrews and applicant 61681214- Antonio Cabral for the position of Truck Driver. Motion carried unanimously. Certification of Truck Driver Eligibility List Motion made by Commissioner Phelan and seconded by Chair Ward to certify the Truck Driver eligibility list with an expiration date of April 16, 2026. Motion carried unanimously. Qualifications of Applications: Firefighter Motion made by Commissioner Phelan, seconded by Chair Ward to reject the following applicants as the applicants did not meet the minimum requirements of the position: 62117616, 37512894, 41581483, 51847598, 61657596, 61676103, 61853426, 61720730, and 61757875, and to accept all other applicants as they meet the requirements of the position.
