CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES April 30, 2025 10:00 A.M. Via Videoconference (ZOOM) Roll Call: The meeting was called to order by Chair Susan Ward; also present were Commissioner Larry Phelan, Chief Examiner Nelly Espinal, and HR Assistant Aleyda Martinez. Minutes: Meeting April 16th, 2025 Motion made by Commissioner Phelan, seconded by Chair Ward to accept the meeting minutes from April 16th, 2025. Motion carried unanimously. Personnel Status: New Hires: Alex Lima- Computer Technician New Business: Application Appeal- Firefighter Motion made by Commissioner Phelan and seconded by Chair Ward to accept the appeal for applicant #41581483, Joseph Liburdi for the position of Firefighter. Motion carried unanimously. Removal from MM III - Electrician Eligibility List Motion made by Commissioner Phelan and seconded by Chair Ward to remove candidate #43065155, Jodaly Paulino, as this candidate has requested to be removed from the MM III-Electrician eligibility list. Motion carried unanimously. Removal from Truck Driver Eligibility List Motion made by Commissioner Phelan and seconded by Chair Ward to table this item for discussion at another regular scheduled meeting. Motion carried unanimously. Qualifications of Applications: Personal Property Coordinator Motion made by Commissioner Phelan, seconded by Chair Ward to accept the following applicants as they meet the requirements of the position; #62317976 and #52937815 and to reject all other applicants as they do not meet the minimum requirements of the position. Motion carried unanimously. Qualifications of Applications: Auto Equipment Operator II Motion made by Commissioner Phelan, seconded by Chair Ward to reject the following applicants as the applicants did not meet the minimum requirements of the position: #62402939 and #56543462 and to accept all other applicants as they meet the requirements of the position.
