CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES June 30, 2025 10:00 A.M. Via Videoconference (ZOOM) Roll Call: The meeting was called to order by Chair Susan Ward; also present were Commissioner Larry Phelan, and Chief Examiner Nelly Espinal. Minutes: Meeting Wednesday June 11th, 2025 Motion made by Commissioner Phelan, seconded by Chair Ward to accept the meeting minutes from June 11th, 2025. Motion carried unanimously. Personnel Status: New Hires: Richard Ganser- Staff Engineer Ryan Miguel- Public Safety Technology Manager - Michael O’Toole- Truck Driver Tracy Norris – Assistant Corporation Counsel - John Kenney – MM III – Electrician Promotions: James Docktor- Auto Equipment Operator II Termination/Resignations: Peter Harrington- Operator Water Treatment Plant - Victoria Eanniello- Grant Compliance Coordinator- Donna Strosser- Asst Registrar of Vital Statistics Vanessa Rodriguez – Clerk Typist II New Business: Qualifications of Applications: Grant Compliance Coordinator Motion made by Commissioner Phelan, seconded by Chair Ward to accept the following applicants as they meet the requirements of the position: 28029426, 19567984, 37908003, 63112138, 46096491, 56445292, 58684112, 22986236, 63290844, and 48102645 and to reject all other applicants as the applicants did not meet the minimum requirements of the position. Motion carried unanimously. Qualifications of Applications: Public Safety Technology Specialist Motion made by Commissioner Phelan, seconded by Chair to accept applicant 63022925 as this is the only applicant that meets the requirements of the position and that the Department Head interview be in lieu of the oral exam; and to reject all other applicants. Motion carried unanimously. Adjourn Motion made by Commissioner Phelan, seconded by Chair Ward to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously.
