RICHTER PARK AUTHORITY MEETING MINUTES Richter Park Authority Office Tuesday, July 16, 2024 In compliance with Connecticut General Statute § 1-225, these minutes are being provided for informational purposes and are subject to approval of the Richter Park Authority Board of Directors at its next regular meeting. Chairman Pete Siecienski opened the meeting at 6:04 PM. Members present: Jay Eriquez, George Radachowsky, Al Mead, Leroy Diggs, Bob Eberhard, Judy Griemsmann, Paul DiNardo, Dave Lajoie and Pam St. Pierre. Also present: Jonathan Pinto, Head Golf Professional, Rob Dorsch, Golf Course Superintendent and Karen Madaus, Business Manager. Absent: Al Mead (substitute is Art Haddad). Public participation None Approve minutes of previous meetings Mr. DiNardo made a motion to approve the minutes of the June 2024 RPA meeting. Mr. Eberhard seconded. Motion passed unanimously. Correspondence none. Arts Association In July, the annual picnic will take place at the Griemsmann’s house (next Tuesday). Musicals at Richter Beauty & the Beast is going well. There were 1100-1200 paid audience members so far. The only night that was lost was opening night. Grease is opening next Friday and the workshop starts on Monday, 7/22. MPC-Richter House none. FORe The Danbury Amateur sponsorships are low. The Felix Bonacci Memorial wall construction will start next week. Business Manager’s Report Golf outings are going well so far and the Danbury Amateur is this weekend. Head Golf Professional/Director of Operations June was decent and we were above the roadmap, but slightly below last year. The rate increase has helped our bottom line. We are planning a helicopter drop to raise money for the Dorsch family; the date is TBD. It will probably take place in September/October. We will discuss more at the August RPA meeting. AP is in a good place and we’re current. Grounds and Greens The golf course is doing well despite the heat. Since May 1st, there have been 16 days above 90 degrees. Ms. Griemsmann requested some signage explaining Humus is quicksand. Financial report The Operating account is slightly lower than last year at this point. AP is current. Mr. Lajoie made a motion to accept the financial report and have it placed on file. Mr. Eberhard seconded. Motion passed unanimously. Finance Committee Report No report. Old business Cell tower: Homeland is willing to work with us again; let’s get the project going. Golf cart lease: Mr. Pinto got the price to $92k. Discussion regarding GPS (we will own them once the lease is paid off) and the City followed. Mr. Eberhard made a motion to authorize Mr. Pinto to sign the new golf cart lease. Mr. Lajoie seconded. Motion passed unanimously. New business Facilities Committee met today at 5pm. Various issues were discussed including window coverings, missing screen doors, etc. Chairman’s Comments/Report none. Executive Session None. Mr. Mead made a motion to adjourn at 7:30 pm. Mr. Eberhard seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
