Richter Park Authority Master Plan Committee Meeting Minutes Richter Park Authority Office November 13, 2024 6:00 p.m. In compliance with Connecticut General Statute § 1-225, these minutes are being provided for informational purposes and are subject to approval of the Richter Park Authority Board of Directors at its next regular meeting. Call to Order Chairman Judy Griemsmann called the meeting to order at 6:02p.m. Members present: Bobby Bria, Judy Griemsmann, Al Mead and Pam St. Pierre. Approve minutes of previous meeting Mr. Mead approved minutes of April 4,2024 meeting. Mr. Bria seconded. Motion passed. Old Business Review of signs to be completed at Richter House and entrance to hiking trails. The following is being suggested by the MPC, subject to approval by the RPA. • One sign with two halves would be placed at the end of the Richter House front walk – the left side with an arrow pointing up the walk toward the front door of the House and saying “Richter House.” The other half to read “Performance Stage” with an arrow pointing to the right and toward the back of the House. • The second sign to be located at the end of the Richter House Driveway, near Aunt Hack Road and read “Richter Arts Center” with the Richter Park logo placed in the center. • The third sign would be located at the tennis courts parking lot along the side nearest the maintenance buildings. It would read “The Farrington Hiking Trails” along the top, “Welcome” in the center and an arrow pointing toward the entry point to the trails along the bottom. At some point, either near this sign or at the start of the hiking trails just past the tennis courts, there should be a kiosk with trail maps and other information about the trails to replace the kiosk damaged by a tornado a couple of years ago. New Business • Paul Dinardo has been working with the MPC on plans for these signs. Subject to RPA approval, the MPC will consult with Mr. Dinardo about completion of these plans. Mr. Dinardo had spoken to Ms. Griemsmann previously about the possibility of placing another sign to publicize the Richter Arts activities on the grass near the 18th green. Mr. Dinardo was not able to attend this MPC meeting to explain in greater detail his vision for this sign. • The committee also discussed possible use of the existing scoreboard for publicity by placing such PR on the rear side of this board. Respectfully submitted, Judy Griemsmann
