RICHTER PARK AUTHORITY MEETING MINUTES
Richter Park Authority Office
Tuesday, December 17, 2024
In compliance with Connecticut General Statute § 1-225, these minutes are being provided for informational
purposes and are subject to approval of the Richter Park Authority Board of Directors at its next regular
meeting.
Chairman Pete Siecienski opened the meeting at 6:07 PM.
Members present: George Radachowsky, Al Mead, Leroy Diggs, Jay Eriquez, Dave
Lajoie, Judy Griemsmann and Paul DiNardo.
Also present: Jonathan Pinto, Head Golf Professional, Rob Dorsch, Golf Course
Superintendent and Karen Madaus, Business Manager.
Absent: Art Haddad, Pam St. Pierre and Bob Eberhard

Approve minutes of previous meetings
Mr. Mead made a motion to approve the minutes of the November RPA
meeting. Mr. DiNardo seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

Arts Association
No report
Musicals at Richter
The 2025 schedule will be Evita, Little Mermaid and Beetlejuice, Jr. An end-of-
year fundraising appeal was just sent out to raise money to get the lighting truss up.
MPC-Richter House
Mr. DiNardo passed out signage proofs to the RPA for discussion.
FORe
Mr. DiNardo also spoke to Chris Wilbur about being President of the FORe
Board. Chris will be introduced at the January RPA meeting.
Ms. Griemsmann spoke about Lloyd Cutsumpas and his knowledge of Richter
Park history. Should the framed photo of the original RPA members be hung in the
Clubhouse?
Business Manager’s Report
Gift card sales have been coming in for the holidays, and we’re preparing for
passes being sold in 2025.
Head Golf Professional/Director of Operations
As of November, we were at 43,103 rounds (which is 1,200 more than last
year). The Turkey Shoot was successful; the weather was great and we made a nice
donation to Dorothy Day.
Grounds and Greens
We are working on cleanup currently and the irrigation system was already
blown out.
Financial report
Operating is at $295K and Capital is at $107K, which is roughly $107K better
than last year. Mr. Mead made a motion to accept the financial report. Mr. DiNardo
seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
Finance Committee Report
The Committee is recommending going forward with the proposed budget. Mr.
Mead made a motion to accept the proposed budget. Mr. Lajoie seconded. Mr.
Radachowsky voted Nay. Motion passed.
Old business
none.
New business
The RPA reviewed staff compensation recommendations for staff bonuses
instead of raises:
Director of Golf $5,000
Superintendent $5,000
Business Manager $3,000
Assistant Superintendent $1,000
Mr. Mead made a motion to accept the recommendations. Mr. Lajoie
seconded. Mr. Radachowsky made a motion to offer 50% of the recommendation.
Mr. Diggs seconded. Mr. Radachowsky and Mr. Diggs voted aye and there were four
nay votes. Motion did not pass.
A vote was made on the original motion by Mr. Mead. Mr. Radachowsky and
Mr. Diggs voted nay. There were four aye votes. Motion passed.
Chairman’s Comments/Report
We are ready for the challenges ahead!
Mr. Mead made a motion to adjourn at 7:07pm. Mr. Lajoie seconded. Motion
passed unanimously.
