PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES JULY 30, 2025 The meeting was called to order by Joe Boll at 6:30 p.m. Present at roll call: Ken Staver, Joe Boll, Rayna O’Brien, Scott Heinberg and Jill Ringen. Excused Absence: Doug Lindstrom and Carly Winslow Also present: Wade Berget, Cindy Corley, Danni Havens, Steve Pickett, Dave Roelli, John Sonsalla and Kim Winslow. Motion by Staver, seconded by Ringen, the meeting notice and agenda were properly posted. Voice vote. Motion carried. Motion by Ringen, seconded by O’Brien, to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as presented. Voice vote. Motion carried. Reports, comments, suggestions, and recommendations from citizens present: Balance Sheet, Revenue, and Expenditure Financial statements through June 30, 2025 were included in the agenda packet. 2nd Quarter 2025 and Year-to-Date 2025 Occupancy & Revenue Reports for Pecatonica River Trails Park Campground was included in the agenda packet. Under unfinished or deferred business from the previous committee meeting: Discussion only was held regarding the City Ball Field Renovation project. Joe Boll reported the sun shades have been installed on the dugouts, and the donation board has been installed on the press box, so the project is now 100% complete. Under new business or matters to be taken up by the committee: Discussion only was held regarding the introduction of the new Wellness Center Director – Danni Garcia Havens. Danni gave a brief report of what she has been working on since her start date, when she plans to begin holding classes, and some items she will be working on in the near future.
