PLAN COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES APRIL 1, 2025 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike McDermott at 6:30 PM. Present at roll call were: Dave Roelli, Joe Boll, Jeff McCarthy, and Mayor McDermott. Absent: Fritz Hanewall and Kyle McCarville. Also present were: Cindy Corley, Steve Pickett, John Sonsalla, and Amy Johnson. Motion by Roelli, seconded by Boll that the meeting notice and agenda were properly posted. Motion carried. Motion by McCarthy, seconded by Boll, to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Motion carried. Kerry Black arrived at 6:35 PM. Under new business, discussion was then held concerning the sign permit request from Hugo Enrique Campos Mendez and Ilse Mendez for their business located at 301 Main Street. After discussion, motion by Roelli, seconded by McCarthy, to approve the sign permit request as presented. Motion carried. Discussion was held concerning a certified survey map for Thomas Schwartz for his property located at 1224 North Main Street and Stephen Pickett for his property located at 1320 North Main Street in the City of Darlington. A copy of the certified survey map was included in the agenda packet, along with an email from Mike Reuter, the City’s Building Inspector. After discussion and consideration, motion by Boll, seconded by McCarthy, to recommend to the Council the approval of the certified survey map from Thomas Schwartz for his property located at 1224 North Main Street and Stephen Pickett for his property located at 1320 North Main Street as presented. Motion carried Discussion was also held concerning a certified survey map for Steven McQuaid for his property located at 130 West North Street and Lloyd Bret Beesecker for his property located at 1144 Main Street in the City of Darlington. A copy of the certified survey map was included in the agenda packet, along with an email from Mike Reuter, the City’s Building Inspector. After discussion and consideration, motion by Roelli, seconded by Boll, to recommend to the Council the approval of the certified survey map from Steven McQuaid for his property located at 130 West North Street and Lloyd Bret Beesecker for his property located at 1144 Main Street as presented. Motion carried. Discussion was then held concerning a certified survey map for Ivan Hertzler for his property in the Town of Willow Springs. A copy of the certified survey map was included in the agenda packet, along with an email from Mike Reuter, the City’s Building Inspector. After discussion and consideration, a motion by Roelli, seconded by McCarthy, to recommend to the Council the approval of the certified survey map from Ivan Hertzler for his property in the Town of Willow Springs as presented.
