Pursuant to Section 3.12 of the Charter of the City of Delray Beach the Mayor has instructed me to
announce a Special Meeting of the City Commission to be held for the following purposes:
SP.1. CLOSED ATTORNEY/CLIENT SESSION pursuant to F.S.
286.011(8) re: Nellie L. King, the Law Offices of Nellie L. King, P.A. vs.
City of Delray Beach, Case No. 50-2019-CA-011150XXXX-MB-AA:.
Attendees: Mayor Thomas F. Carney, Jr.

Deputy Vice-Mayor Rob Long

Commissioner Thomas Markert

The February 25, 2025 Special Commission Meeting (Closed
Attorney/Client Session) was called to order at 3:55 p.m. by Mayor Carney.
Alexis Givings, City Clerk, called the roll, and the following were present:
Present: 5 - Mayor Thomas F. Carney, Jr., Vice Mayor Juli Casale, Deputy
Vice Mayor Rob Long, Commissioner Tom Markert, Commissioner Angela
Burns.
Others present were:
Terrence Moore, City Manager
Lynn Gelin, City Attorney
Alexis Givings, City Clerk
Mayor Carney announced the subject matter of the session and those that
would be in attendance. Attendees left the dais and went to the 1st Floor
Conference Room to discuss potential settlement negotiations/litigations
strategy.
The meeting reconvened at 4:18 p.m. when they returned to the dais.
Mayor Carney asked the City attorney if anything needed to be entered into

the record regarding this matter. The City attorney stated that nothing
needed to be entered into the record and if something came forward, she
would bring it before the Commission.
There being no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at
4:18 p.m.
The City shall furnish appropriate auxiliary aids and services where necessary to afford an individual with a disability
an equal opportunity to participate in and enjoy the benefits of a service, program, or activity conducted by the City.
