7. BOARD/COMMITTEE MEMBERS COMMENTS:
Discussions ensued with the members expressing their desire to continue their service
on the AHAC Board. Members asked staff if the city would continue Fair Housing
events. Staff explained that the events are costly and time consuming and we have a
limited staff but steps are being taken to reaching out to our partners including banks,
credit counseling agencies and realtors to help invest and sponsor in these events. We
believe with their resources and great contacts they will be able to reach and help many.
8. PUBLIC FORUM:
Dennis Casey spoke of his feelings on the lack of contunity between the residents and
the city. With the changing of the city managers position many times he feels that the
input from the citizens is often over looked and feels that the boards and committees
made up by the citizens should continue with longer term limits.
