CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 10:09 a.m. by Mayor Avila. 2. Mapping exercise round table between the Elected Officials, Planning & Zoning Board, staff and the public. Both Kathy Ebaugh, Director of Planning, and Jason Green, Director of Planning, with Axis Infrastructure Team were in attendance to conduct the workshop. Ms. Ebaugh provided opening remarks and gave a PowerPoint Presentation of the overall project. There were five topics of discussion and each table had 15 minutes to discuss the topics. The five topics are as follows: Topic 1: Vision and Community Character, Topic 2: Development, Housing, & Economic Conditions, Topic 3: Transportation & Connectivity, Topic 4: Parks, Public Spaces, & Environmental Assets, and Topic 5: Public Services-Schools, Utilities, Emergency Services, etc. Ms. Ebaugh stated the last 20 minutes will be spent on sharing of ideas from each table on each topic that was discussed. The next steps are to work with staff to provide more opportunities for others to participate. The vision for the City of Deltona 2050 is that there will be areas that look different and not like today but, will not be so different that you would not recognize the City of Deltona. The goal is to make the City of Deltona better for the future which is what everyone is working toward. 5. CITY MANAGER COMMENTS: 6.
