Board and Commission Appointments Recommend a Motion to: Approve the Mayor's re-appointments and appointments to the boards and commissions. 7. B. Backhoe Replacement Recommend a Motion to: Approve the purchase of a Catapillar 430F2 backhoe with pallet forks from Foley Equipment for $115,998. 1 7. C. City Financial Report & First Reading of Electric Franchise Fee Increase Recommend a Motion to: Direct staff to place the ordinance amending the franchise fee to be paid by Kansas Gas & Electric Company, doing business as Westar Energy, on the April 24 City Council Agenda. 7. D. Purchase of Land for Future Street Project Recommend a Motion to: Authorize the City Manager to make a written offer to purchase the property at 1900 N. Nelson Drive, to negotiate and agree to terms of a purchase contract acceptable to the City Manager and the City Attorney, and to sign documents necessary to finalize and close the transaction. 8.
