EAC March 19, 2024 Minutes
Members in Attendance: George Mullikin, Grant Alger (via Zoom), Steven Nelson, Karen Graziano (via Zoom),
David Reidel, Dan Ford, P.R. West, Recreation and Special Events Coordinator, Caitlin Hernandez, and Building
and Zoning Director, Karyn Hyland. Borough Council Members, Dennis Livrone and Liz Wyckoff also attended.
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:34 pm.
Approval of Minutes February 20, 2024: Minutes were approved.
Earth Day Planning: Dan shared his vision for the Earth Day celebration. Details for the event, such as who will
be attending and which local agencies have committed to being present, were shared. The EAC members
discussed other items they think will be helpful at the event, such as tables, table coverings, etc. Kids' activities
and how they can be incorporated into the day’s events were brainstormed.
Reports
LCAP (George and Steve): The survey is in its final draft and ready for the next step of information
gathering. Steve reviewed the survey questions with the members and it will be reviewed by Borough
Council. The survey results will help guide the direction of the LCAP, help with information
recommendations, and get general feedback.
Access to modeling software was discussed, and whether it is necessary to pay for the initially free
software was discussed. It is not in the budget for this year since it was not known that the software
would become pay-to-use. The members will revisit this topic later.
Farmer’s Market/Outreach & Communication (Dan): No report.
Bird Town (Grant): The annual report was submitted in January, and we are now a silver-level Bird Town.
Wendy Margolis has agreed to host a Bird Town walk on Earth Day weekend. She would like to host it at
the Fonthill Woods. We will probably need permission from the Bucks County Historical Society to host
an event at their property. Grant will confirm the time and date; it is tentatively scheduled for 8:00 on
April 20, 2024.
Comprehensive Plan Update (P.R.): We are drafting and editing the Comp Plan document. The Planning
Commission has taken on the task of developing themes and goals at a broader perspective than initially
laid out by the consultant. It was previously more task-driven than plan-centric.
Index of Open Areas (Dan): None
Old/New Business: None
Adjournment: With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 9:00 pm.
Respectfully Submitted by:
