Human Relations Commission Meeting

Borough of Doylestown Human Relations Commission Wednesday, August 23, 2023 - 7pm Attendance: Fred Stanczak, Maxine Katz, John Fraser, Stephen Albert, Doreen Stratton, Stefanie O'Mara, Student Member Thomas O"Reilly, as well as Borough Manager John Davis and Borough Council Member Ben Bell. The Minutes of the July 2023 meeting were approved as submitted. (Albert/Katz) HRC Community Member Recognition: John explained the Youth Recognition and Economic Development Stewardship programs. He indicated staff could develop the social media/promotional materials and any necessary forms. Doreen will use the mission statement as a baseline. Chris and Stefanie will develop the outline for next month's meeting. Old/New Business: Fred asked Thomas to provide some details on his background. John will add the next public presentation to the September agenda for brainstorming. Plumstead Township resident Vonna Dearmond attended to reiterate her previous complaint even though it had been determined to be outside the HRC's scope. A Doylestown Township resident attended the meeting to discuss soil erosion at the SEPTA property. Meeting adjourned: 8:05 pm. Respectfully submitted, Amy Kramer Minutes Secretary
