PUBLIC WORKS AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Monday, August 5, 2024 6:00PM Borough Hall 10 Doyle Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 Present: Chairperson Larry Browne, Councilperson Dennis Livrone. Councilperson Bob Kinney, John Davis. Councilperson Elizabeth Wyckoff via ZOOM. Also in attendance, Jerry Higgins. Call to Order: Chairperson Browne called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. 1. Approval of Minutes: Meeting minutes from July were unanimously approved (spelling correction to July minutes spelling of bocci to bocce) (Livrone/Kinney) 2. 2024 Request for Proposal for Solar Flashing Beacon-Veteran’s Lane: After committee discussion, the Committee accepted and moved to send the single bid from Armour and Sons to the next Council meeting for final approval The bid was over budget due to PennDot’s requirement to hardwire back up power. The overall capital outlay will remain under budget. (Kinney/Livrone) Confirmed that the crosswalk will have a speed table on either side. Construction approximately November 2024. 3. New Business: Guest, Jerry Higgins, Friends of the Borough Dam, discussed desire to have the Borough take on part of the cost of the pond aerator and several maintenance concerns at the pond.
